Chess series, memorials and campus events around Tel Aviv 3
About this list
Three recurring events have cards of their own because they are not tied to a single club. ChessBar Israel is a numbered series of evenings in Tel Aviv, with editions on record since February 2025, that alternates rapid tournaments with relaxed Meet & Play nights; its own site calls the events unofficial and not reported to FIDE. It meets on Tuesdays at Masaryk Wine & Flowers, which has a card as the venue.
The Nathan Blumkin memorial is a one-day tournament in Kfar Saba with editions in May 2025 and August 2026, both drawing large fields. Reichman University in Herzliya held a university championship in January 2025 and again in January 2026. Most club tournaments of the area, from autumn rounds to Friday rapids, sit on the club cards rather than here, since each club runs several at once and lists them on its federation page.
